The Marino apartments in Alcossebre form a white, Mediterranean-style complex in the Las Fuentes area, beside the quiet seafront promenade of this beach. It is one of the few developments in town that is right on the beachfront: you step out of your front door, through the complex gate, and you're on the promenade with the sand a few steps away.
No cars are allowed inside the grounds. The homes are spread along pedestrian lanes with palm trees, bougainvillea, lamp posts and benches, and the pools are in the middle. That's why it's so popular with grandparents travelling with their grandchildren and with couples looking for peace and quiet by the sea.

Made for taking it easy
Las Fuentes is the most relaxed part of Alcossebre. In the morning, a beach of fine sand and calm water; in the afternoon, the pool; and at sunset, a stroll to the marina. We take you through it stretch by stretch in our guide to the Las Fuentes promenade to the marina.
A practical point for older guests: the complex has no lift and has stairs, but there are ground-floor apartments. If anyone in your party has limited mobility, ask for a ground-floor unit when you book. Getting here and collecting your keys
Alcossebre (Alcalà de Xivert, Castellón), about 35 minutes south of Peñíscola, is reached via the AP-7, exit 44 (Alcossebre-Torreblanca), or the N-340. The nearest train station is Alcalà de Xivert, about 10 km away, and the nearest airport is Castellón, about 22 km away; Valencia, Reus and Barcelona airports are further afield.
Keys are collected from the Casa Azahar office at Avenida Las Fuentes, 11, in the same area as the complex. In the low season arrival times are more flexible: it's best to agree yours with the office when you book.
